These mini spots are spreading like wildfire and that skirt to the left sure looks fun to twist in.

Ulyana Sergeenko
14.9.11
Have you guys seen Ulyana Sergeenko's Fall Winter 2011 collection yet?
I was going for my weekly fill at of a kind when I stumbled upon these.
Awesome in pure form.
Inspired by Soviet Russia. This is what happens when 1940s charm goes back to the future. Where midi and floor length dresses reign supreme. Where people pull of bold prints and ladylike silhouettes with such aplomb...retro at its utmost best.
Last Of The Summer Sun
8.9.11
h&m jumpsuit, nine west sandals, vintage clutch
Back to regularly scheduled posting.
Apologies for falling off the wagon for a while there.
Between my sister packing up and heading back to England, me trying to figure out life after graduation, searching for a new apartment, and basking in the summer sun; there was little time for much else.
Any opportunity to wear sheer as Fall comes crawling up, and I'm on it. The print on this jumpsuit is a tad crazy, but that's what makes it all the more fun.
The Styling Is Nice & All...
18.8.11
...but can we focus on everything that's going on in the backgrounds for just a moment?
Noir et Blanche

'French Connection' by Josh Olins with Joan Smalls and Hailey Clauson in Vogue Paris September 2011

Black and white with many shades of gray. I'm a vibrant colour kinda girl. But in the absence of colour, the focus lies on everything from the big picture of grace and elegance, to the very minute details like the pocket square and necklaces. And that is at times, more captivating than all the vibrant colour in the world.
This Lace Thing
15.8.11
forever 21 romper, vintage lace jacket, urban outfitters shoes
I was scrambling around like a chicken with its head cut off this past week trying to find a new apartment. It feels like almost everyone has moved to Toronto, resulting in a rental scarcity of sorts. Landlords were quick to catch on and are now charging an arm and a leg for dodgy holes in the wall. No can do m'am. I haven't found a place yet, but I've put a brake on the scrambling; I'm less anxious and have faith that a cosy gem soon will come.
With this new found peace, I was able to enjoy cirque du soleil's totem this past weekend. If nothing else, it was entertaining and had me wanting to be a gymnast in my next life. Wore a romper with this lace thing I found at my new favourite shop: vintage grounds. In the past month, I've visited at least once a week, and the lady who runs is each time, more charming than the last.
Hope you all had a more relaxing week than I. How were your weekends?
Jenni Kayne
5.8.11
The colours in Jenni Kayne's Resort 2012 collection bring to mind the yummy goodness of ice cream sorbet. The button up shirt and ankle grazing trousers sure make this collection one delicious treat.
Seventeen Vintage Covers
3.8.11
Ne'er have I read a copy of Seventeen Magazine. To be fair, I wasn't very much a fashion magazine reading teen. All that may have changed had these vintage covers been dropped off at my doorstep.
July Waltz
1.8.11
vintage dress, aldo shoes
July was truly the most delightful month. Spent this past week in a summer haze jamming at jazz festivals, lounging by the lake shore (the closest thing I have to the seaside here, is this artificial beach), celebrating my birthday, and on long bike rides across the city. Stumbled upon this secluded parkette on my way to dinner where I wore one of my favourite colours right now in this mint dress.
This year has been on speed dial but I won't mind as much if August is as kind as July was. If you're in the northern hemisphere, I do hope you're enjoying what's left of the summer months. xx
La Société
15.7.11
Wore this vintage dress to dinner in Paris. Okay...one of the closest places to Paris from my flat: la société bistro. The decor and menu are rather reminiscent of the Paris bistros I visited last summer; and the complementary oysters earned extra brownie points.
The dress is from vintage grounds, a shop I happily stumbled upon last week. These sandals (last seen here) are fast becoming a summer staple. They are so easy to wear and the pattern goes well with everything thus far.
Happy Friday dears. Wish you all the best of weekends! Try not to get into too much trouble ;)
Bisous,
Abi
Temperley London
There's day wear and there's evening wear. Weekdays versus weekends. Proper at business meetings or carefree while you frolic through fields. Alice Temperley covers the bases with her Resort 2012 collection. Which way are you leaning?
Print Mixing
This 1963 editorial shot perfectly showcases how print on print on print just works works works. At first glance, I see florals and leopard print (a second glance, and I'm not so sure). Do you see any others?
Ksubi Kolors
14.7.11
found via revolveclothing
Neon: the gift that just keeps giving. Ksubi's kolors campaign has me wanting to don bright denim all summer long. Sadly, humidity strongly disagrees; but flying through colourful clouds of smoke remains an option.
