Well, such is the name of Lauren Moffatt's Spring 2011 collection. "For as long as I can remember there has been a dress hanging in my mother's closet. Although she wore it on her honeymoon, it continued to hang in her closet for decades...this collection is inspired by that dress."- Moffatt
How dare I speak on Spring when it's bone-chilling cold outside you may ask? My apologies, but I just could not resist the urge, seeing as these pieces have been tickling my vintage sensibilities for quite some time now. I imagine that if the ladies of the Brady Bunch went for tea in 1920s British countryside, this is what they would wear. Each piece conveys such a whimiscal lightness that brings to mind images of field frolicking. Utterly girly without compromising on sophistication, I love the fun use of patterns, colours, fabric and details. Quite frankly, I think these pieces would sit very nicely in the luggage of any globetrotting honeymooner and non-honeeymooners alike. Styled by Michel Onofrio, you may take a look at the rest of the collection here.
I'm eyeing the jumpsuit and sheer pastel dress. Any pieces tickle your vintage/feminine/countryside sensibilities?
