The Heart Is A Lonely Hunter

There is a book of the same name by Carson McCullers. The story takes place in a small town in the South in the late 1930s, and follows the lives of five main characters over the course of about a year. One of the characters is a quiet and sensitive young girl, Mick, who cherishes a seemingly hopeless dream of becoming a concert pianist while searching for beauty in her small town. I'm a huge fan of black and white imagery, and I think this editorial depicts her story rather beautifully. It's an oldie, but a goodie; and I love the styling. Enjoy!
