Good On You Karen

This skirt is from the Karen Walker Spring 2011 ready-to-wear show. Apparently, her collection was inspired by the work of William Eggleston; the photographer who single-handedly introduced colour into art photography. He has the unique ability to find and show the beauty in most ordinary scenes through the displays of colour. That would perfectly explain why I find this skirt so beautiful despite it's simplicity. I love the vibrant yellow, understated pleats, and what appears to be silk fabric. Good on you Karen!

Have you been following NYFW? Any shows tickle your fancy?

Kelsea: Is it? I haven't really followed her work in the past, but if this collection is any indication, then she does pretty darn good in spring

@Sofia: na, you don't like?

@charlotteauzou: I haven't kept up with Preen, I'll be sure to check it out

@Dani banani: Thanks. By the way, I love your name :)

@Isquisofrenia: Nothing jumps out necessarily, but it's all in the detailing for me.
