I'm Thinking Red

6.11.10

The Sound of Music is one of my favourite films. I watched it again a few days ago, and although it's not necessarily set around Christmas time, it never fails to get me excited for the holidays. I think it has something to do with the song my favourite things, and all that talk of doorbells, sleighbells and snowflakes. Walking through the shops this past week, I've noticed trees, ornaments, lights, sleighbells and the like going up. Christmas cheer is definitely in the air. It's the most wonderful time of the year and although I'm not looking forward to the bone chilling cold, I'm feeling rather giddy about it. To match my festive mood, I decided to break out my red cable knit jumper. Perhaps it's time to start on that letter to Santa. It's never too early ;)

Are you feeling the Christmas cheer yet?

Have a great weekend!

Bisous,
Abi

If you ever decide you don't want those shoes I will be first in line for them. I don't care what size they are, those are fantastic!! You look beautiful as always!

Lady, I am all over your heels! These trousers go perfectly.

Festive is the best word in the entire world. I've decided that just now.

Loving how this christmas cheer is bringing out the big guns. That sweater is making me giddy!

I've yet to feel the christmas cheer but I expect it will come quickly.

Such a beautiful outfit! Simple & chic :)
And to respong to your story: I don't feel like Christmas at all yet. In Holland we first have 'Sinterklaas' at the 5th of December. And that uses quite the bit of work and preparation.

TSOM is also one of my favorite childhood movies, such a joy to watch despite the sadness and tragedy of the real characters its based on. Love the pants and shoes, but I don't know how you did not freeze with the sucky weather we've had in TO lately.

Thanks goodness there isn't the Christmas feel here yet. It's not like I don't like the holiday but I just think it'd be too early :)

I love the silhouette today and a great colour combo. Your hat is fab too.

I am not yet in the Christmas mood, which means that I will probably have a nasty realisation that I have left it all way too late.

The Sound of Music used to be an annual tradition on TV when I was little! It makes me think of holidays too, somehow :) Such a cheery red, makes me excited for Christmas season to start in earnest!

Hi Abi,
Indeed the details are exquisite. The images are taken at a monastery in Curtea de Arges (The Court of Arges), one of the oldest cities in Romania.

I like the fact that you pay attention to details. I love the cut of these pants and also how you paired it with the red jumper.

Just love it:)
