Bouncy Castles and Candy Floss

10.6.10

Woke up yesterday to the very good news of sunny skies. Went on a long exploratory stroll around the city, in the hope of discovering never-before-seen-stores-that-would-leave-you-wanting-to-come-back.
And that's exactly what happened. Two hours into my walk, I had come across a unique poster shop, numerous independent bookstores and a lovely crafts store I went gaga over. Four dresses later, from what is fast becoming my favourite vintage shop in Toronto-69 Vintage- I decided to head over to the park.

The park looked like a scene from Super Mario with helium-filled balloons, oversized mushrooms, bouncy castles and much more; courtesy of Luminato's "Wish Come True Festival," and Miami-based art collective/ad agency FriendsWithYou. My inner kid came out to play, and I longed to get into the bouncy castle, get my face painted and eat some cotton candy. Unfortunately, only kids were allowed into the bouncy castles, and the fair was lacking in face paint and cotton candy. Pffftt....what's a fair without the fun?!

Paired this romper with some tights because there was a risk of over-exposure especially when paired with high-heeled shoes. The snakeskin details on the heels of these shoes and a fun element to otherwise plain shoes.

What have you been up to this weekend?!

Bisous,
Abs
